D23 To Livestream Select Expo Panels

Can’t make it to the D23 Expo? Wasn’t able to make an online reservation to the panels? Worry not, my fellow Disney Fan! D23 has your back and will be live streaming select panels directly from the Anaheim Convention Center. 

If you’re not following D23, start following them now so you don’t miss a thing and be sure to start watching before each panel for a D23 Expo Live pre-show. They will be streaming on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and directly on their D23 website.

2019 Disney Legends Ceremony- Friday 8/23 at 10:30am PST 

Disney Chairman and CEO, Bob Iger, will host the ceremony. The Disney Legends Award started in 1987 by the Walt Disney World Company; this special award is given to select people “who embody the Company’s unique creative spirit best personified by its founders.” This year the Disney Legends Ceremony will be honoring Christina Aguilera, Wing T. Chao, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, James Earl Jones, Bette Midler, Kenny Ortega, Barnette Ricci, Diane Sawyer, Ming-Na Wen, and Hans Zimmer. 

Behind the Art of Disney Costuming- Friday 8/23 at 10am PST

Have you ever been amazed by the costumes you see on the silver screen? At this panel you will go behind the scenes of the D23 Expo to the Walt Disney Archives exhibit and get to know the team (who created the exhibit) as they discuss the passion, imagination, and attention to detail that goes into each Disney costume. 

Women of Impact: Meet the Nat GEO Explorers Changing the World- Saturday 8/24 at 10am PST

Meet the amazing women who get up close with wild animals like lions, tigers, and bears- oh my! You will be proud and amazed on how extraordinary these women are and the lengths they go to explore. 

Marvel Comics: Marcel’s 80th Anniversary- Saturday 8/24 at 5:30pm PST

Join Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort as they take you on a heroic journey of the history of Marvel Comics. 

Heroines of the Disney Galaxies Presented by Boxlunch- Sunday 8/25 at 10am PST

Celebrate the most inspiring and empowering female characters with Ashley Eckstein from Her Universe. Ashley and a few other special guests will talk about these courageous females from the worlds of Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more!

The Art of Disney Storytelling- Sunday 8/25 at 3pm PST

Join in as well known master storytellers like Disney Legends Tony Baxter and Floyd Norman, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Paul Briggs (head of story, Frozen and Big Hero 6), and renowned producer Don Hahn as they talk about the impact Walt Disney had on their careers and the entertainment industry. Have mercy, I almost forgot to mention that this panel will be hosted by John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh Stamos!
