Disney Announces New Entertainment Coming to the Frontierland

A magician and a duo of dueling pianists walk into a bar...or make that a saloon. Live entertainment announcements from Disneyland Resort have been a bit bleak lately considering the recent cancellation of the improv comedy show “Laughing Stock Co.” at the Golden Horseshoe Saloon and “The Pixarmonic Orchestra”, a fan favorite at Pixar Pier, but Disney is breathing new life into the old west this fall with two fresh acts.

Starting next week, a wandering magician will be sharing his illusions with guests in the streets of Frontierland, at the Golden Horseshoe Saloon, or even on the Rivers of America aboard the Mark Twain steamboat. Keeping with the location’s theme, the Golden Horseshoe will also gain a pair of pianists trying to outdo each other with classic cowboy tunes and taking requests from the audience. This act will debut later in the season. There has been no information released on the official entertainment schedule regarding either act at this time.

With Frontierland’s nighttime juggernaut and closer “Fantasmic!” already on its lineup, some routine shows in the schedule should make this land’s programming more complete.
