Original Maze "The Curse of Pandora's Box" Revealed for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood has just announced a brand new original maze slated for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights which is starting in just a few short weeks! Starting Friday, September 13th guests will feel the chills as The Curse of Pandora’s Box opens for the first time.

Greed and Greek Mythology will be the underlying theme of this brand new maze that will transport guests from a human world with living beings to the nightmare inducing Netherworld ruled by the God of Death himself, Hades. We’ll begin at “Pandora’s Cabinet of Curiosities”, a rundown shop set in modern times, but with a Victorian London back alley aesthetic. Rare and strange artifacts fill the glass cases. Among the artifacts is a curious ornate box stamped with human bones.

As we continue on we hear a beckoning voice enticing us to draw closer, seducing us into believing anything we want; can be made ours. We are broken from our daze by a powerful earthquake that hurls the box open onto the ground, and whispers for us to come inside. Once Pandora’s Box has been opened, it can never be closed again.

Tickets for Halloween Horror Nights are on sale now, including the first ever Fan Preview Night on Thursday, September 12th, which will offer guests a sneak peek before the event opens up to the public the next night.
