Ready To Go Sky High?- Skyliner Transportation To Open In Walt Disney World On Sept. 29

Starting September 29, Walt Disney World will be opening a brand new way of transportation- in the air. The Disney Skyliner transportation system will be an all new complementary transportation system that will take guests on the “most magical flight on Earth.”

This morning, Disney executives were joined by Disney characters and cast members to celebrate the opening of the Skyliner at Disney’s Caribbean Beach. To wrap up the announcement Disney does what they do best and had a firework show.

This all new transportation system will connect Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to four of the Disney Resort hotels- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and the future Disney’s Riviera Resort, a Disney Vacation Club Resort (opening Dec. 16, 2019). 

There are roughly 300 gondolas taking guests through the skies of Walt Disney World where guests can feast their eyes on never-before-seen views of the property. Half of the beautifully bright gondolas will be wrapped with beloved Disney characters we all know and love along with scenes from fan favorite movies, theme park attractions, and so much more!
