Star Wars Day at Sea Returns for Nine Cruises
Disney Cruise Line is once again offering Star Wars Day at Sea aboard the Disney Fantasy from January to March on nine, week-long cruises as well as shorter cruises with a touch of the iconic galactic saga on the Disney Dream ship.
Each of the week-long Caribbean cruises set sail from Port Canaveral near Orlando and will feature a day of Star Wars themed festivities. Fans of the Resistance or the First Order will appreciate the scheduled meet and greets with over a dozen characters including Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2-D2, and C-3PO. Wandering characters like Boba Fett, Stormtroopers, and Jawas will also be aboard the Disney Fantasy.
New characters to the franchise will join in the fun too. BB-8 will make an appearance during Star Wars Day at Sea looking for Resistance recruits at the Disney's Oceaneer Club. This club for children ages three to twelve will also host the Star Wars: Command Post throughout the voyage, with puzzle-based missions sure to engage. Additionally, young padawans can attend Jedi training and later show off their new skills to family and friends in the “Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple” show.
Guests can witness the force in the stellar stage show “Summon the Force”, starring Rey and others, followed by a deck party and a fireworks show accompanied by John Williams’ Star Wars score.
Other offerings include special food, drinks, and merchandise as well as family activities like movie screenings (of all ten films!), guest speakers, challenging trivia, cosplay parties, and a porg scavenger hunt.

Departure dates are:
January 4, 11, 18, 25
February 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
All cruises include a stop at Disney’s one thousand acre private Bahamian island, Castaway Cay.
The Force is making an appearance on another Disney Cruise ship as well. Younglings aboard the Disney Dream, which offers three and four day Bahamian cruises, can experience the Star Wars: Millennium Falcon. This experience is part of the Disney's Oceaneer Club, allowing kids to design their own starship, pilot the Millennium Falcon, join a Jedi Master in a thrilling adventure, and attend Jedi training culminating in a battle against the Dark Side. Although these activities will be for the kids, parents will have the opportunity to join in during Open House.
